It was a short week with Teacher’s Convention, but we still got a lot accomplished.
Winter Walk
We had a fantastic time during our Winter Walk on Wednesday. It was nice to get outside and enjoy the break from all the cold weather we’ve been having. Thank you to the parents who came out to walk with our class. Also, a big thank to you to the Town of Devon for donating the hot chocolate! It was yummy!

Talk About it Tuesday - Mr. Fox opinion writing
We finished reading The Fantastic Mr. Fox this week and completed the novel study activities to go along with each chapter. Next week the students will complete an assessment based on vocabulary and comprehension of the book.
Math
We are continuing to work through our multiplication unit. The focus this week was:
- Standard algorithm for multiplication
- Regrouping multiplication
- Multiplying a 2-Digit with a 1-Digit number
- Multiplying a 3-Digit with a 1-Digit number

Social
In Social Studies this week the students enjoyed playing an online practice quiz with 4B using KAHOOT. They used their chromebooks to answer multiple choice questions about The Stories, Histories and Peoples of Alberta. They loved this format to "show what they know" about the unit. Following this, they completed an online assessment in Google Classroom to test their knowledge. This assessment is posted in PowerSchool for you to take a look at.
P.E.
We continued this week rotating through the Zones of Regulation centres. This allowed the students time to rotate through all nine stations.
